Imprints of time.

This project is an exploration of time and rhythm. I tried to map out a daily ritual (the shower) for a week in a simple and direct process. The rules are fixed, the result depends on the duration of the shower, the pressure of the water and the person using the shower. The idea is to use a mathematical approach (the rigid rules) and still obtain an abstract result, an ever changing visualisation of a daily routine.

The posters work as a serie. When seeing the different versions next to each other, one can already perceive the differences between each days.

Rules:
Same paint;
Same ± amount of paint;
8 hour paint drying time;
Same paintbush;
Same paintbush strokes, from top to bottom;
Same shower;
Same position in the shower;
Hang while drying.
